Travel with Twins – Walt Disney World

The first time we flew abroad with the twins, they were only seven months old and I was really anxious. I worried about carrying milk through security and how many nappies I needed to take to see me through the week… it turned out I didn’t really need to worry at all. It was certainly different to holiday’s we’ve had pre-children but it wasn’t a bad experience. Since our week in the Canaries went so well, we took several stay-cations and road trips in the UK with the girls and my confidence traveling with them sky rocketed. So after a…

Mini Breaks With One Year Old Twins

If you follow my Instagram, you’ll know we haven’t had the easiest of times lately. Work and life in general have been making things not bad but just sour and so after a run of illnesses, teething and rubbish stuff, J came home from work one day and said, ‘let’s go away.’ We had a quick local search but most things were fully booked given the short notice and on a whim, I searched for Edinburgh. It was a blissful 25 degrees every day and was a very welcome break. While it was very much a healthy trip, I did treat myself to a couple glasses of champagne (since it was free). My brother meanwhile preferred the most gigantic Bombay Sapphire Gin cocktails! I very much miss waking up to bright sunshine, (not to mention spending my afternoons on a Bali…

Bank Holiday Getaway : The Edinburgh Fringe Festival

It feels like a lifetime ago now but a few weeks back, my good friend Madeleine and I decided on a whim to head to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! My lovely brother (who works in travel) booked us some accommodation and we managed to get some great deals on train tickets. Before I knew it, we were there! We were staying in Pollock Halls, a short walk from the Royal Mile and I have to say they were great. Cheap, clean and very cheerful, plus the breakfast was immense – I’d highly recommend if you were planning a trip next…
