Bar+Block Newcastle

Thursday night ended up being date night for Mr Lisle and I as we headed to the new steakhouse on the block – Bar+Block (see what I did there?). We don’t get the opportunity to go out as a two that often so we were really excited to try some food and drinks at this new restaurant located on Newgate Street. Fenwick is the place I was taken to choose my first Mulberry handbag and was the place I bought my first pair of designer shoes. It’s where I go for special presents for the people I love and for the…

Though nothing particularly unusual happened that day, I remember everything about it… It was a baking hot summer’s day, I was wearing jeans and a black top and we got on a bus only for it to be diverted and had to get off and walk back to Soho. However the best part of the day and probably the reason I remember it so well was because it was my very first experience of a Byron Hamburger!…
