Sunderland Minster : The Projects

If you’re a regular Girl in the North reader then you’ll probably know by now how much I love my music. From Stevie Wonder to Alexisonfire, I’m a bit of mixed bag when it comes to tastes – if I can dance to it or scream to it… I’m generally happy with it! And what I love best is when music is used for a good cause. So when my good friend Woodie sent me a message the other night telling me about his event this Saturday The Projects – I jumped at the chance to go. The Projects is…

North East Bank Holidays : Hello Summer

I hate to be one of these people who jumps on the weather bandwagon but today was the first really sunny day this year – I didn’t even have to wear a coat or even a cardigan! There was so much going on in the city including Feel Good Saturday, Asda’s Pasta Party in the park, Marathons, Half Marathons, Sunderland City 10k and of course… the zip wire. I first wrote about this back in January and boy things have changed since then. In December things started to get a little difficult in my life and things weren’t going exactly as planned, I set myself a resolution to always say…

Girl in the North : What Women Do Business Event

Good Morning! Today certainly feels like spring has arrived and I woke up early to sit in the sun with my windows open and enjoy my breakfast. I’ve now got a massive coffee and have completed replying to all my emails. One of which confirmed the address for an event I’m speaking at on Wednesday evening! I was delighted to be asked by one of Publicity Seekers Director’s Samantha, if I would attend and speak at the event. So I shall be heading to Cafe 177 in Hartlepool tomorrow night – if you’re a fashion related business in the North…
