Corners of my Home

If you follow me on instagram then you might know I recently moved into my first real grown up home! I’ve lived on my own in various parts of England since starting university but this move felt different. Previously I’ve lived with an ex and other than that in places which always felt temporary or like extended student accommodation. I don’t want to tell the whole internet where I’m at but it’s a really nice estate in the North East and my house is completely unique – there’s not another one on the whole estate like it, which was a huge selling point for me.

I love being nosey and seeing other people’s homes on their blogs so I thought I’d give you a little peek into mine!

Despite having a lovely bright spare room which I do quite fancy turning into a bit of a home office, I always find myself working at the dining room table (probably because it’s handy for the kettle). The window looks out onto my front garden and I seem to always find myself with a coffee day dreaming out the window. Pink Lilies are my favourite flowers so when I do my weekly shop, I often treat myself to a bunch to keep the place smelling delicious.

My bedroom already had fitted furniture in, when I moved in so I have a lovely white dressing table and a full wall of massive wardrobes. In my last place which I shared with a housemate, I didn’t really have room for a dressing table and just used the floor and a massive mirror so it’s been nice to be able to sit at my table and blow dry my hair or mess on with make up for a change. I’m addicted to Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle if you haven’t guessed already! Everytime someone in my family goes on holiday I pester them to get me something from the duty free. I alternate between coco and my other favourite Marc Jacobs Daisy.

The Chanel addiction continues into my bathroom – as if spraying myself with it isn’t enough, I also have the moisturiser (and on the shelf below is the after bath powder). I actually don’t wear a lot of make up but I’m addicted to cleansing, I tend to use Liz Earle once a week but I love the Garnier Cleansing Water. I use it on a night to take the days grime off and again on a morning to freshen my skin up before I apply mascara and a touch of Nars Orgasm blush, then I’m ready to go!

Possibly my absolute favourite part of my house is the garden though! It’s been amazing this summer coming home from a long day at work to take advantage of the sun. It’s also been really nice to be able to hang my washing out in the fresh air and I’ve picked up a few outdoor toys such as my hula hoop which have been fun to play with out there.

I would have shown you my amazing cosy living room in this post but unfortunately I’m still waiting on my sofa arriving which has been a bit frustrating. I’m assured (after nearly 14 weeks of no sofa) that it should be here very soon but I’m not getting my hopes up. *Fingers crossed* it’s here before Christmas. As soon as it is though, I’ll make sure to do an update. I love seeing home tours on blogs so if you’ve done one, please leave a link in the comments so I can go see. I’m constantly looking for new furnishings too so if you know any amazing interior stores make sure to share!
