The other week when the lovely Anna from Fenwick dropped me an email inviting me along to the launch of The Teashed Pop Up cafe – I couldn’t say no. I’d already heard lots about The Teashed which was started by Jules Quinn only a couple of years ago. I popped Amy and Shannon a message to see if they were both free and headed through to a very rainy Newcastle.
By the time we’d walked in the rain up to Fenwick’s, like any true Brit I was in desperate need of a cup of tea. I know the brand is called The Teashed but I never expected slap bam in the middle of Fenwick’s Food Hall there to be an actual garden shed… complete with turf, picnic tables and a picket fence.
A cup of hot delicious tea was passed my way and we headed through the crowd to the back of the shed where in true blogger fashion, we photographed everything we could! Everything was so bright, colourful and cute and then the food arrived… mouth-sized fluorescent iced cupcakes and mini cream scones made the rounds before we were passed cold tea & prosecco with (and I’m not sure this is the technical term) juicy balls in! I made a fabulous gif with Amy’s reaction to them that you can see below.
Overall it was a great event and we left with our tummies full of delicious treats before heading to Urban Outfitters discount evening where we abused the photobooth and fancy dress! If you’re in Newcastle anytime soon then The Teashed Pop Up Cafe is only around until mid-July and it’s well worth a visit.
