I’m a true believer in the whole cliched new year new start thing – it’s refreshing to put a close on things which maybe haven’t worked out as you hoped in the previous year and a positive way to challenge yourself in the new one. 2012 was one of the most amazing years of my life and then it got a little bit tricky towards December.
Rosie recently wrote a post on how last year she’d made a conscious decision to always be a ‘yes woman’. I’ve always been a yes person but sometimes when things get difficult and times are hard I forget. So rather than set myself lots of resolutions, this year I’ve decided to carry on enjoying life and when things get difficult, to remember to say yes and try turn whatever negative situation there is into something positive.
Which leads me on to Sunderland’s Charity Zip Wire Challenge… if you’ve decided to become a ‘yes person’ like Rosie and I, this might be up your street! For a small registration fee of £20, on Sunday 28th April, you could be flying your way through the skies from the Wearmouth bridge, past my old home and landing at Panns Bank! It’s all happening during the same weekend as the Marathon of the North and Sunderland City 10k and knowing past events I’m pretty sure there will be lots of other things on too, to keep everyone entertained! Sound like the challenge you need to kick start your 2013? Then you need to register your interest here asap before the 11th January – hopefully I’ll see you there!
