Classic Pashley

One of my favourite ways to explore the North East is via bike. Back where my parents live in Durham, we are right near a wonderful forest famed for it's cycling paths and tracks - Not to mention the English Dales. When I was in my teens in the summer's if I wasn't riding my horse, then it was my bike. I used to take a packed lunch and head out into the countryside with nowhere in particular in mind.

When I left school and started learning to drive, I sold my lovely old faithful bike. It wasn't until I moved to a city that I really started to miss it, Boris Bikes just didn't cut it for me.

I had always dreamt of owning a Pashley but there was always a reason not to buy one, I had a bike and then I didn't need one. So recently I had the urge to get out again, I really wanted to bike along Sunderland's seafront, so I started investigating the prices of classic bike insurance, as my real fear was that if I was going to pay over £300 for a bike then I'd need it insuring. Turns out it was quite reasonably priced and while I still can't give up on my car, the Pashley saving fund is nearly at the point of no return. So look out for me next time you're biking down Roker seafront and make sure you say hello!
