Where I've been : When life gives you lemons...

Saturday, 9 March 2013

I've been missing for a while since my last post and I finally I've had a spare five minutes and some wifi to upload a quick post. Towards the end of January I moved into my new apartment which I absolutely love (though I do miss A quite a lot) - it's really nice to have a proper girly pad again. I also started working with a large North East printing firm creating them a marketing plan and digital strategy. It was great been getting stuck in and having hands on experience to keep me busy - Valentine's Day and my birthday flew past in a flash and then I received the call no one wants.

My Dad had been rushed to hospital in an ambulance with a suspected stroke. He'd been poorly for a while and had suddenly got a lot worse so my Mom had made the decision to call 999 and it's all been a bit of a blur since then. I've suddenly had to grow up and become an adult making decisions I never thought I'd have too. Luckily my Dad is still here with us but he's lost 90% of his vision and is unable to walk or talk properly. I won't go into it too much but blogging and the internet kind of took a back seat for awhile.

It's made me think about things a lot though and put things into perspective. So rather than dwell on all the negatives, I've been staying positive and have a lot of exciting plans in the pipeline. I can't wait for it all to come together and see the results... after all you only live once!

Thank you to anyone who did know about my Dad already who has contacted me. & I'll be back soon... I promise!

  1. My love goes out to you and especially your dad. That mustn't be an easy thing to go through at all, it's really great that you're being so positive though!
