Barnard Castle : Oswell's

Unfortunately things were put back on my apartment so I haven't moved in today as expected. My Mom however, always the optimist decided to take me window shopping in Barnard Castle for some home furnishings and I'm so glad she did because I found this little gem called Oswell's!

Barnard Castle (or "Barney") if you don't know it is a North East market town in Teesdale and it's lovely for a day out. Oswell's is two minutes down the road from the Bowes Museum and features beautiful, quirky homeware like this gorgeous bird themed enamelware and pretty, unique gifts by amazing designers.

I was only window shopping today as I'm waiting until I move in before buying anything else but I have a list a mile long that I want/need. I fell in love with the 'Ride Above It' range and all things owl related.

Oswell's doesn't just do homeware or furniture, they also have plenty of gift ware too including beautiful presents, gift wrap and unique cards. You'll never be stuck for a present for anyone ever again - there is literally something for everyone here. It's is well worth a visit if you're planning a trip to the region but luckily for all of you who want to get your hands on their gorgeous stock & can't make the trip, they sell online too!

After spending an age drooling over everything I wanted for my new home, Mom and I decided to head back home but not before popping over the road to 'Shirl's Shakes' for a Crushed Cadbury's Chocolate Finger Smoothie! Which deserves a blog post all to it's own so I'll save that for another day!
