Christmas at Home

Wednesday, 26 December 2012

A few of you may know from recent posts, I recently moved back to my parents which although it's still in the North East, it's actually in the middle of the countryside. So I've spent the past couple of days walking our dog in our fields and enjoying the peace and quiet. Christmas Eve was rather lovely, sitting by the fire and helping prepare the veg for Christmas Day.

It was a rather strange day on Christmas Eve as I received some more bad news but I'm trying to remain positive and stay happy for my family. It's at times like these that you realise presents as nice as they are, aren't anything compared to unconditional love from your family and friends. Having said that, they all got me some lovely things including Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser, Boots - Soap and Glory Best of All Kit, more Coco Madmoiselle to add to my collection and my brother got me a brilliant personalised mug from NOTHS! It's standard in our family now that every Christmas someone always gets me my favourite diary, a soft cover moleskine weekly planner and I suppose the most amazing present I got this year was my bag!

I have to confess I knew about this one a few weeks back which if you follow me on instagram, you may have already seen it. I love it and can't wait to take it on it's first outing sale shopping for new apartment things tomorrow! Like I said earlier, the presents are all amazing and I don't want to get too sentimental on you all but I really hope a certain person knows I'm thinking about them, and I'd swap it all if it would change the situation and make them happy. I'm so thankful for everything I do have and I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas!

  2. I'm so jealous you have the bag with the gold hardware! I 'borrow' my grans version but hers is the silver hardware - I'm just hoping one day I will get to own my very own version with the gold :L hope your bad news is eclipsed by a wonderful festive period and an amazing new year xx
