I have to admit I've being a rather bad blogger lately, I've had some really bad news recently and it's not only knocked my routine but my motivation all to pot so rather than posting feeling sorry for myself, I've just avoided it all together. I'm now living back at my parents waiting till I move into my new apartment in the New Year (which obviously deserves a post all to itself). My parents farm happens to be near to Bowes Museum, so last weekend my Mom and I headed to their now infamous Christmas Market.
The market is set outside in the grounds of the museum, with over fifty stalls of everything from handmade vodka to The Moody Baker and everything in between. We purchased all sorts of last minute Christmas presents and stocked up on delicious local food - trying it all first. We were going to have afternoon tea in the cafe however opted for mulled wine outside while we petted the reindeer!
The Christmas Market is a free event and if you missed it, the Museum's gift shop does contain a selection of what was on offer. The Bowes is such a beautiful place anyway and I'd definitely recommend it for an afternoon out.
You can find out The Bowes Museum opening times here and details of their up and coming events here.
