The Olympics : Girl Power : Laura Trott

The Olympics : Girl Power : Jessica Ennis

I am by no means that 'into sport,' I support my boyfriend because it's his job and I often watch the horse-jumping because I like horse riding but I have been fascinated by the Olympics this year! Despite been a bit confused by our opening ceremony, I actually thought it was amazing and also a little hypnotic... I couldn't turn it off.

It's the women that have really stood out for me though, they're so many incredibly talented girls out there who have only really just started to get some attention and really deserve a lot more.

In the North East, you don't have to far on Friday evening to see scenes like this or this. And to be fair it's not just the North East of England, it's all over the UK. Now don't get me wrong, no one is perfect - I've had my moments where I've over-indulged on rose... however I would love to know where we went wrong? When did it become cool to look like and act like sluts? And why aren't the people on Geordie Shore dying of embarrassment?

The types of girls we should be admiring are the girls of the Olympics, super fit and healthy role models who care about their bodies and look good! Girls like Jessica Ennis and Laura Trott (pictured above).
I've been going a little tagging happy on my fitspo board on Pinterest if anyone needs some extra Olympic Girl Power inspiration, take a look there. And if anyone has the answers to my questions, please feel free to leave a comment!
