North East Flooding

North East storm from my office window

The storm that hit Newcastle and the North East tonight was incredible. We were all watching it come towards our office windows at work, slowly moving closer and getting louder... then the rain came. For those of you who live and work in the North East, you'll know exactly how bad it was! My poor little Mini Cooper struggled its way out of Team Valley in flooding above its bumpers.

I've loved looking through the storm pictures, especially the video of the lightening hitting the Tyne Bridge but if you have any amazing one's please link me with them so I can take a peak!

Thankfully I made it home ok and my poor car is now recovering and sheltering in the garage. You may have noticed a few changes on my blog and I now have a new URL! I am officially www.girlinthenorth.com - it made more sense now uni has finished and the project this blog was originally created for has come to an end.

    1. Crazy wasn't it?! I got off lightly I think with 1 hour 10.
