NE1's NFW : Wrap Party

Wednesday, 6 June 2012

Sunday evening saw the closing party for NE1's Newcastle Fashion Week take place at Tup Tup Palace where Fashion TV were presenting live from the event. I headed along with Hannah, Cata and Juan to celebrate what had been a very hectic but enjoyable week. I have cheated a little bit on this post as a couple of the photos above are from the Frock n Roll event on the Friday evening. Somehow I managed to only appear on one photo and it's very blurry. After spending most of the entire day trying to decide what to wear, I decided on a simple little black skater dress from New Look and massive heels. We picked up Cata and Juan from their apartment on the quayside in Newcastle, so got to check out Evolution festival from the balcony which had an amazing view. We all somehow managed to squeeze into my little mini cooper and off we went.

The event featured a live catwalk with clothes from Sara Macleod boutique, Vivienne Westwood, Naughty Knickers and Urban Celebrity clothing and Dizzee Rascal fresh from Evolution Festival even made an appearance. The evening was a great success - luckily I'm on a t-total detox at the moment so I tried out the fruit cocktails that were on offer managing to have a great evening while Hannah, Cata and Juan all feasted on white wine and were a little worse for wear the next day.

Tup Tup is somewhere I've never been before Sunday but if you're in Newcastle for a night out and fancy going, you might want to book a booth or table and receive free entry and get to jump the queue. Or if you're after a venue for a party try the Loja SkyBar which caters for 30-120 people and dance the night out under the stars.

I can't believe how quickly the week has flown over but I'm already excited for next years event and bring on September's London shows now! Thank you so much to Sandra and Sara for inviting me along to all the events this week - I've had such a great time.
