What better way to start a blog post than with a picture of my chest... perhaps it might do my SEO some good, you never know! On Thursday I had the pleasure of a girly date with Hannah who I have to confess, I stole the last three photos from! For our night out, I wore my new vintage corset top which I picked up at Durham Uni's vintage fair the other week. More to come on this soon though!
After finishing work I nipped on the metro to meet her in Fenwick Newcastle where we had make-overs at Clinique as part of their 'Who's that girl beauty sessions.' We even got a really cute goodie back with some sample size products! I am rather upset we didn't take a photo of our make-overs now but we were much too excited about buying our Pick n Mix ready for the next part of our evening.
Once we had raided Fenwick's food hall, we headed straight to the Theatre Royal for Matthew Bourne's Nutcracker. Unfortunately today was the last day you could see the performance however there are several videos to be found on the official website. The whole performance was utterly delicious and despite the fact summer has barely begun, it made me crave Christmas. If you get the chance to see another Matthew Bourne performance, I would definitely recommend it.
We left the theatre with rumbling tummies so we took a trip to Paradiso, a little Italian restaurant hidden down an alleyway just off Pilgrim Street. If you like your Italians (restaurants that is) friendly and down-to-earth, this place is well worth a visit. Our waiter was so patient and knowledgeable and they even offer Italian lessons! Not to mention the pricing is really reasonable. Overall it was an excellent night out.
